Red Devils split with Falcons

TROY — Tippecanoe’s boys bowling team got back on the winning track Wednesday, following up its narrow defeat at Northwestern on Tuesday with a 2,294-2,004 victory over Graham.

The Red Devil girls, meanwhile, were defeated by the Falcons 2,233-1,755.

Josh Bellas led the boys by rolling games of 201-191 for a 392 series. Ryan Rittenhouse rolled 175-191 for a 366 series, Charles Jaynes rolled 138-202 for a 340 series and Jordan Vollmer rolled 179-154 for a 333 series.

Sarah Marshall rolled 129-175 for a 304 series to lead the girls, Jasmine Fletcher rolled 158-113 for a 271 series, Sarah Rhoades rolled 121-148 for a 269 series, Jenny Korleski rolled 145-104 for a 249 series, Mary Kate Lee added a 121 game and Catherine Timmons added a 102.

“Great job by the boys to get back to their winning ways,” Tippecanoe coach Clay Lavercombe said. “The girls bowled well at the end. Hopefully the positivity will keep on rolling at Springfield Catholic.”

Tippecanoe travels to Catholic Central today.
