TIPP CITY — Stan and Jo-Ann Phillips of Tipp City, formerly of Troy, are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary on June 2, 2016.
The couple were married in St. Michael’s Church, in Hartford, Conne., and relocated to Troy, on April 1974, where they spent the majority of their married life. On Jan. 30, they took up residence in the SpringMeade Retirement Community, Tipp City.
Joining in the anniversary celebration are their children: Steven (Therese) of Chicago; Debbie of Philadelphia; Mark of Piqua; and Kathy Dalton (Tony), also of Philadelphia.
Stan retired from Friendly Ice Cream Corporation June 1, 1999 after 40 plus years’ service. He volunteered his time over the years, serving on various community boards; most recently on the Troy Board of Park Commissioners. Also, he is a member of the Troy Noon Optimist Club.
Jo-Ann is an avid tennis player, enjoys gardening and bird watching. Together, they enjoy traveling and sharing time with their children.
