Elliotts celebrate 65th anniversary


TROY — Phil and Beulah “Boots” Elliott celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on July 19, 2017.

The couple were married July 19, 1952. The couple lived in Tipp City for 60 years and now reside in Troy.

The couple celebrated with their nieces, Sherry and Doug Portoff and Melody Viocent, and nephews, Bruce and Jolene Fogt, Craig Fogt and Jenny; dear friend of 70 years, Barbara Ditmer, and Bob and Ruth Stollmer, at The Caroline restaurant, Troy.

Phil retired from GM in 1995 as a maintenance supervisor and also worked with his wife at her store, Boot’s Antiques in Tipp City, for seven years.

Boots worked various places, including their antique store, then through failing health, retired.

They have one daughter, Debbie of Zionsville, Ind.; a son, Phil of New Albany; and four grandchildren.

They have been members of the Zion Lutheran Church, Tipp City, for 60 years.
