The Troy Historical Society Banquet & Volunteer Recognition
Date: May 20, 2010 6-9 pm
Location: First Place (corner of Cherry & Franklin Streets)
This event is to honor and say "thanks" to our wonderful volunteers for their time and support.
Our program this year will feature the huge Soap Box Derby collection donated by Lloyd Shroyer. Mr. Shroyer has gathered a panel of Optimist members including himself, Keith Bader, and Ozzie Haddad, who will speak of their experiences with the derby which was held for many years here in Troy. We will have the collection from Mr. Shroyer on display during the banquet and program. It includes many posters, lots of scrapbooks with photos and many other memorabilia.
The banquet is open to the public or you may just come for the program which will begin about 7 pm.
See you at the festivals in the area this summer.
The Museum of Troy History, 124 E. Water St., will open its
