Matthew Caldwell
1757-1810

Matthew was born in Ireland during 1757, and died at Piqua Ohio in 1810. His body was first buried in the old Hillard Cemetery, later moved to the Forrest Hill Cemetery in Piqua. He was in Kentucky before 1788, then came to Miami County Ohio in 1807 where he helped lay out the city of Piqua.

He served as an ensine with the Pennsylvania State troops.
