Christian Hershey
1757-1854

He was born on 12 Dec 1757 in York County Pennsylvania and served as a private in York County Militia under Captian Thomas White. He came to Ohio about 1833 with his son John (who laid out the town of Gettysburg in Darke County) and other children.

His wife was Elizabeth Hoke 1766-1856. Christian died on 12 Oct 1854 and is buried beside his wife Elizabeth in the older Harris Creek Cemetery north of Bradford.
