David H. Morris
1769-1843

He was born in Morris County New Jersey. Later he was in Ohio and was an assistant surveyer in Cincinnatti. His death took place during 1843 and he is buried in the Saylor Cemetery, Miami County Ohio.

He was a private in the Virginia Line, and later served in the War of 1812 as a scout for General Harmar. He came to Miami County Ohio in 1799. A government pention was granted him in Miami County Ohio during 1834.
