1962 LUSE, ERB S. - Funeral services for Erb S. Luse, 60, were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday by the Rev. Fred G. Gnatuck at the Doom Memorial Home. Burial was in New Carlisle Cemetery. Mr. Luse collapsed and died of a heart attack about 11 a.m. Monday while watching one of his horses working out at the Miami County Fairgrounds track. He was pronounced dead on arrival at Stouder Memorial Hospital a few minutes after being stricken. A resident of New Carlisle for many Years, he resided at 212 S. Main Street and had been a pay station supervisor for the Ohio Bell, working out of the Dayton office. He was a member of the U. S. Trotting Association and kept harness horses as a hobby. Born January 26, 1902, he was a son of Gilbert and Bessie Sidner Luse. He was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church. He leaves his widow, the former Olive Sheridan and his mother.
