McELDOWNEY, MABEL G. - Eighty-three-year-old Mabel G. McEldowney of 161 W. Second St., Xenia, and a former Tipp City resident, passed away Sunday morning, June 5.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence, who passed away in 1967 while the couple lived in Tipp City.  A member of the St. John Catholic Church, Mrs. McEldowney is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Josephine Field of Holcombe, Wisconsin,: Mrs. Frances Parsons of Fairfax, Virginia; and Mrs. Mary Bennett of Xenia; two sons, Donald of Chicago, Illinois; and Charles of Quartz Hill, California; 27 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.  A mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. June 9 at St. Brigid Church in Xenia.  Committal service will be at St. John's Cemetery, 12 noon, June 9.  Friends may call at Neeld Funeral Home, 1278 Detroit St., Xenia, from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, June 8.
