Dona Irene Schafer was born in Greenville, Dec. 4th, 1913 and passed to her eternal reward April 1, 1935 at the age of 21 years, 3 months and 26 days.  She is survived by her parents, one brother, Ivor, one sister Joan and Forest Trost who was to become a member of the family, also grandmother Mrs. Ella Schafer Bowers, and grandfather Ira Krider. Miss Dona was baptized July 9th, 1923 by Rev. R.N. Leatherman and united with the Church of the Brethren in the city of Cincinnati. shortly after this she was dedicated to the Lord which indeed is a great comfort for "The Lord gave and the Lord taketh away, Blessed be the name of the Lord." In the spring of 1928 she united with the Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren. In this church she became a faithful Sunday School worker, teaching a class in the beginners dept. She was deeply interested in the young peoples work also and many times during the nine months of her sickness she spoke much about it's welfare. She attended Newton Township High School graduating with the class of 1933.
