Water quality report available

TROY — The annual Water Quality Report for water testing performed Jan. 1 to Dec. 31 2015, for the city of Troy drinking water is now available directly from the City of Troy’s website at the following web link:

Notification of this web link will be displayed in the Community Message Board section of water bills to be mailed on May 24 and June 6. If you do not have internet access and wish to have a copy mailed to you, call the Water Treatment Plant at 339-4826 and request a copy. Copies of this report are also available at the City Building, the Troy-Miami County Public Library, the Miami County Health Department, and the city of Troy Water Plant. The Water Plant is located at 300 E. Staunton Road, Troy. If you have questions regarding this report, contact Jeff Monce, water plant superintendent, or Ralph Walters, assistant water plant superintendent, by calling the Troy Water Plant at 339-4826, Monday-Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Miami County YMCA Track Club

TROY — The Miami County YMCA is offering a Track Club on Monday and Wednesday evenings beginning June 1 at the YMCA Robinson Branch. This club is for youth six years of age to 16 years of age. Participants may choose to learn sprints, distance, and long jump, and then have the option to compete in track meets at Yellow Springs.

Summer sports camps planned

MIAMI COUNTY — The Miami County YMCA will be offering sports camps this summer. These camps are for beginners to advanced players in each sport and run Monday-Friday of each week. Contact the Piqua Branch (773-9622) or Robinson Branch (440-9622) for times and to register.

Gymnastics Camp — June 13-17 for 3 years old and up at the Piqua Branch

Soccer Camp — June 13-17 for 3 years to fourth grade at the Robinson Branch

Basketball Camp — June 20-24 for 4 years to fourth grade at both branches

Volleyball Camp — July 11-15 for third to eighth grade at the Piqua Branch

Volleyball Camp — July 18-22 for third to eighth grade at the Robinson Branch

Football Camp — July 25-29 for 4 years to fourth grade at the Robinson Branch

Rec to have game room night

TROY — The Troy Rec will offer a community open game room night from 6-9 p.m. May 27 in conjunction with Troy Streets Alive. Come in to 11 N. Market Street and play Xbox on the big screen or how about a rousing dance party on the Wii. You can enjoy a game of billiards with your buddies or maybe an exciting game of ping pong.

The Troy Rec is celebrating its 75th year of serving the youth of Troy and they are offering this open game room night as a thank you to all the citizens that have supported The Rec through the years. There is no charge for the open game room hours. Contact The Rec at 339-1923 for more information.

Class of ‘61 to meet

PIQUA — On Thursday, May 19, the Class of 1961 from Piqua Central High School will be meeting for lunch at Buffalo Jack’s in Covington. The group will meet at 12:30 p.m. and will order off the menu so no reservations are required.

Spouses and significant others are always welcome to attend.
