Donation trailer to stop in West Milton

WEST MILTON — This weekend, a Goodwill trailer will accept donations in West Milton.

Residents are encouraged to donate their unsold garage sale items at the trailer, which will be parked in the city hall parking lot at 701 S. Miami St.

An attendant will be at the trailer to accept donations and provide assistance and receipts from noon to 8 p.m. on Saturday, May 21. Residents are encouraged to take their donations to the trailer during these hours.

Residents can place donations in the trailer on their own during daylight hours on Sunday.

Donations to Goodwill Stores, a service of Goodwill Easter Seals Miami Valley, will be processed and sold at local retail stores.

Acceptable donations include gently used clothing and accessories; housewares, linens and small appliances; books and media; computers and accessories; and furniture. Mattresses, box springs, and TVs, will not be accepted.

All retail store proceeds support more than 40 programs and services that build on the Goodwill Easter Seals mission of empowering people with disabilities and other needs achieve independence and enhance their lives.

In 2015, 20,208 people across 23 counties in Ohio were served by the Goodwill Easter Seals.

About 86 percent of revenue generated through business services, retail stores and community support directly impact people in the greater Miami Valley and Lima communities.
