MIAMI COUNTY — Two Michigan men are being held at the Miami County Jail for alleged credit card and identity theft at the Troy Meijer store.

Troy Police Department arrested Damon Hannon, 22, of Detroit, Michigan and Stevie Cummings Jr., 22, of Ypsilanti, Michigan on Monday afternoon after a Meijer clerk noticed the pair used two different credit cards to purchase electronics, gift cards and clothing.

According to Troy Police officials, officers responded to the Meijer store after one of the alleged suspects purchased an IPad with a Meijer card. The male returned and purchased more items using a different Meijer card with a different name shortly afterward.

The pair were arraigned in Miami County Municipal Court on Tuesday.

Cummings was charged with two counts of fifth-degree felony identity fraud, eight counts of receiving stolen property and two counts of misdemeanor misuse of a credit card.

Cummings bond was set at $52,000.

Hannon was charged with seven counts of fifth-degree felony and two misdemeanor charges of receiving stolen property charges. His bond was set for $41,000.

The investigation is still pending and additional charges may be filed, according to officials.
