TROY — Tori Hite was selected as the 2016 Upper Valley Medical Center Cameos of Caring nurse and was among nursing award recipients recognized in May at the Premier Health Nursing Recognition Awards. Hite, BSN, RN, is a nursing team leader in the UVMC Progressive Care unit.
The Cameos of Caring program, overseen regionally by Wright State University, recognizes nurses who epitomize caring at the bedside.
“Without a doubt, every day is a great day when working with this nominee,” those recognizing Hite said. “As one of the team leaders, she shines like an angel with her competence in providing clinical assistance to her colleagues and compassion to our patients and families. She is the prime example of nursing excellence, evidenced by her willingness to do even the smallest things with great love.”
Also honored during the recognition program were Christina Subler, RN, and Ivy Thoman, RN, MS, ACNS-BC, CEN, for Performance Improvement/Research; Denise Ressler, MSN, RN, for Leadership; and Erica Bowers, BA, RN, and Misty Manuel, RN, for Clinical Practice.
Two UVMC Partners in Practice also were recognized. They were Linda Parker, who works in Environmental Services, and Nancy Pizzino, who works in the Emergency Department.
