MIAMI COUNTY — On Tuesday, the Miami County Commissioners approved several purchases and authorized a street improvement project for the village of Bradford.
The board signed an agreement with PAB Construction of Coldwater, Ohio, to proceed with the Wise Street Improvement Project for the village of Bradford.
The project cost is about $164,000, part of the program year 2015 Community Development Block Grant allocation.
Work on the project could begin in August, said Dan Suerdick of the Miami County Department of Development.
The commissioners also approved several purchases for the Sanitary Engineering Department, including direct payment software, which will allow the department to offer Automated Clearing House (ACH) payment options to customers. ACH payment options include credit and debit transactions. The cost of this software module is not to exceed $2,787.
Other purchases were a $2,787 third party billing software module for the Sanitary Engineering Department, which will enable the department’s billing vendor to print monthly water and sewer bills, and two HP laptops at a cost of $2,241.
The commissioners also authorized the purchase of two server licenses needed to upgrade the MUNIS accounting software to the latest version. The cost for these licenses is not to exceed $5,062.
