PIH plans second annual community picnic

Staff Reports

TROY — On Thursday July 21, from 5:30-7:30 p.m., a community picnic will be hosted by Partners in Hope at the Troy City Park off of Adams Street across from Hobart Arena. This is the second year for this event, which welcomed more than 200 people in 2015.

The event is open to everyone and there is no charge.

“We are excited to welcome old and new friends to celebrate with us, so please spread the word,” said Jessica Echols, executive director. “We have been in Troy for 26 years thanks to the many people who have served and who have been served by the programs offered through Partners in Hope. We are proud of our legacy of hope and feel this is a great way to give back and celebrate those who mean so much to us.”

The community picnic will kick off with a welcome and blessing at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 6 p.m. Throughout the evening, guests will be able to play games, win prizes, listen to music by DJ Mike Blankenship, enjoy a show by Happy the Clown and more.

Call Partners in Hope at 335-0448 to make a reservation for dinner.

Partners in Hope has been serving the Troy community since 1990, and offers programs to individuals and families in need, providing opportunities for relief, education and development. For more information, call 335-0448 or visit www.partnersinhopeinc.org.
