A free opening reception will be held at 5 p.m. Friday for the exhibit “Covering the Past” featuring 19th century woven coverlets on display at the Troy-Hayner Cultural Center through Aug. 28. The event will include a spinning and weaving demo.

Enjoy barbecue pork ribs, pulled pork and chicken legs, plus live music and more on the Square in downtown Sidney from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday. The event is free.

Hobart Corporation in Troy will host its second annual car show to benefit The American Cancer Society Relay for Life from noon-3 p.m. Saturday. Gates open at 10 a.m. for registration; $10 entry fee for all show vehicles. Music, trivia, prizes and more!

3rd on Third, a free outdoor market featuring artisans, foods, antiques and more, will be held on East Third Street at Bates Street in Dayton from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.

Joe Walsh with special guest JD & the Straight Shot will be at the Rose Music Center in Huber Heights at 7 p.m. Sunday; doors open 6 p.m. Tickets range from $52 to $77. More info at rosemusiccenter.com.
