MONROE TOWNSHIP — A progress report was presented to the Monroe Township Trustees at their Aug. 15 meeting by Tipp City Senior Inc. Building Committee Chairman John Berk, who informed the board that architectural rough drafts will be reviewed by the building committee this month.
The committee’s decisions will determine building placement, location of the driveway entrance into the complex, storm water drainage requirements, and designation of an area for possible expansion in future years. Finalization of these plans is now expected by first of October.
In township cemetery reports it was noted 36 burials have been completed in Maple Hill Cemetery so far this year, and the maintenance staff has been trying to keep up with trimming and mowing in Maple Hill and other township cemeteries despite inclement weather conditions. Future township projects include curb and catch basin repairs, equipment maintenance, side ditch mowing, and preparing for new monument foundations for Maple Hill Cemetery.
