Troy Police Department reports

Sept. 23

NARCAN ADMINISTERED: An officer was dispatched to 514 McKaig Ave on a medic assist. A white male, Bradley Goldberg, was found lying on the ground outside, and another white male Kenny Pack was doing chest compressions on him. The officer felt a strong carotid pulse in Brad’s neck and did not continue CPR.

The officer asked Kenny what happened, Kenny said that Brad just came over and said that he just got jumped. Brad began to hold his stomach as if he was in pain, he collapsed, then Kenny called for help and began CPR. Kenny said Brad is known to use heroin.

At that time Troy FD arrived on scene and began to assess Brad. Narcan was pushed via a nasal tube and Brad became responsive again. Brad was uncooperative and denied doing heroin since last night.

Brad was transported to Upper Valley Medical Center by TFD. No charges were filed due to the lack of evidence.

OVERDOSE: An officer responded to an assist squad call at 1211 W. Main St. Christopher Bryant overdosed and was arrested.

Sept. 24

UNDERAGE: An officer responded to a suspicious call in the 1000 block of Scott Street. The officer cited one person for underage consumption.

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY: An officer was dispatched to the 100 block of S. Elm Street for an attempted burglary. Two adult males were arrested.

FIVE HOUR ENERGY GONE: An officer was dispatched to Wal-Mart at 1801 W. Main St. on report of a possible theft. Loss prevention had found empty boxes of 5 hour energy drinks in the freezer section. Loss prevention located subject on video selecting the energy drinks but not concealing them.

Sept. 25

BURGLARY: Officers were dispatched to a burglary in progress in the 900 block of Franklin Street, Troy. Officers arrived and the suspect had already fled the area. Spoke with the victim and found nothing had been taken.

Sept. 26

BB GUNS DESTROYED: A resident in the 800 block of Cartwright Court, Troy, came to the police department to turn over three BB guns that she did not want at her house any longer. She signed a waiver form and an officer took the BB guns to be destroyed.

POSSESSION:An officer made a traffic stop at Walgreen’s. The driver, William Hinegardner, was charged with DUS and Possession of Marijuana.

MENACING: An officer was dispatched to a disturbance at Raper and S. Walnut Street.

There was a two vehicle accident in which Jacob E. Miller was cited. A disturbance followed in which Jacob E. Miller & Lea Dillon were charged with menacing, criminal damaging & misconduct at an emergency.

BURGLARY: An officer took a burglary complaint in the 900 block of Oak Hill Court.

OVI: On the listed date time and location the suspect vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation and was found to be intoxicated. The driver, Shannon Shepherd, 29, of Troy, was arrested for OVI, OVI over .080 percent and Tail Lights.

LOUD MUSIC: An officer was on patrol near Race Street at S. Market Street. A silver Jeep turned westbound onto Race Street, then into the parking lot of UDF. The officer noticed music coming from the Jeep, and it was very loud. After parking in the parking lot, over 50 feet away, the music maintained being very loud. The officer pulled into the parking lot and beside the driver, whom the officer recognized as Kyra Milton. The officer told Kyra her music needed to be turned down. Kyra yelled, “What,” and she walked towards the officer like she couldn’t hear over her music. The officer tried explaining that the city has an ordinance for such things, and Kyra continued yelling.

As the officer completed a citation, Kyra stood outside her vehicle and continued yelling at the officer. She swore at the officer. Not wanting to continue being yelled at and belittled, the officer handed her the citation and cleared the stop.

Sept. 27

THEFT: Theft complaint in the 400 block of S. Mulberry Street.

BURGLARY: An officer spoke with a resident in the 300 block of S. Cherry St. in reference to a garage being broken into. She advised that they rent the garage and someone entered it without permission over the past couple of weeks. She showed the officer where the latch was cut and the lock had been taken. She could not advise on any missing property at this time, other than the lock.

THEFT: Theft complaint in the 900 block of S. Clay Street.

STORE THEFT: At the Meijer store, an officer came in contact with James S. Sales reference a theft report. As a result, Mr. Sales was charged with theft.

Sept. 28

OVI: An officer observed a black Pontiac traveling westbound on W. Main and observed the suspect vehicle traveling in a zig-zag pattern driving halfway between the inside lane and turn lane. The officer activated the emergency lights and initiated a traffic stop. Citations issued for Love Poling, 42, of Huber Heights, DUS, OVI, OVI BAC, and Marked Lanes.

UNDERAGE CONSUMPTION: At 3:30 a.m. an officer was investigating a loud noise complaint in the area of 1459 Henley Rd. Behind 1447 Henley Road, four subjects were located. All four subjects were found to be under the age of twenty-one. All four subjects were charged with Underage Consumption and issued summons.
