MIAMI COUNTY — The Miami County 4-H Advisor Fundraising Committee has announced a new date and dinner style for its 2017 annual fundraiser.
The BBQ event will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, July 15 at the Duke Lundgard Building at the fairgrounds. The date also coincides with the new Miami County Fair’s Open Entry due date of 5 p.m. July 15. The dates for both events are one week earlier than in prior years.
Each 4-H club member in Miami County is selling tickets for the BBQ for $8 each. Pre-sale tickets will be available until June 15. Limited number of tickets will be available at the door for this event.
The dinner features a choice of bone-in pork chop or half chicken, applesauce, potato chips, roll with butter and iced tea or lemonade. Dinner can be enjoyed inside the Duke Lundgard building or carry-out is available.
Miami County Farm Bureau will host an Ag Day on the grounds from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. during the event. The famous Dairy Bar milkshakes will also be available from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. with proceeds benefiting the Miami County Junior Fair. Chocolate, vanilla and strawberry shakes will be sold for $3.50 each.
Other events include a Kiddie Tractor Pull with sign ups at 5 p.m. and the pull at 6 p.m. A live auction will be held at 6:30 p.m. and the annual 4-H Club dance will begin at 8 p.m.
