MIAMI COUNTY — The names of the victims in a Friday crash sending two victims to the hospital have not yet been released.

Both drivers in the two-vehicle accident were taken by CareFlight to Miami Valley Hospital on Friday evening, after colliding in the 11000 block of U.S. 36 between Buckneck Road and Ohio 721 near Bradford.

According to Trooper Anthony Guajardo of the Ohio State Highway Patrol Piqua Post, one vehicle was traveling east on U.S. 36 when the left front tire blew, causing the vehicle to cross the center line and crash head-on into a westbound vehicle.

The Miami County Sheriff’s Office and Covington police responded, and OSHP was dispatched to the accident scene at approximately 6:40 p.m. Friday.

Both vehicles are said to have sustained heavy damage.

As of Sunday, both are reported to be in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries, Guajardo said.
