County lots to be repaired

MIAMI COUNTY — On Thursday, the Miami County Commissioners approved several paving projects for county properties.

The board approved pavement repair projects in various county parking areas, including the Hobart Center for Government and the Safety Building, and accepted quotes from Cooper’s Blacktop in Ludlow Falls for all of the repairs.

The work includes all of the county’s downtown Troy parking lots and the Safety Building alley and drive. The lots will be repaired, sealed and striped at a cost not to exceed $10,450.

Work at the Harrison Street Maintenance Garage includes the damaged asphalt surface around the north and east side of the building. New asphalt will be added to the north side of the gravel area, for a total cost of $25,000.

The parking lot at the Hobart Center for County Government will also be filled, sealed and striped at a cost of $5,370.

In other business, the board also approved an agreement with the Miami County Recovery Council to provide an adolescent outreach program for youth referred by the court. The cost will be $200 per session and is not to exceed $10,000 a year.
