Overla, Kleptz and Beamish elected to Troy BOE

TROY — Troy residents re-elected Ginny Beamish and Thomas Kleptz and will welcome William “Bill” Overla to the Troy City Schools Board of Education. Voters selected thee candidates from five candidates seeking a seat for the Troy City Schools Board of Education.

Vice-President Joyce Reives and David Heffner did not receive the majority of the votes for the office.

According to unofficial results, Overla received 3,374 votes (23 percent), Beamish received 3,262 votes (23 percent) and Kelptz received 2,752 votes (19 percent) for the four-year term of office.

Reives received 2,343 votes (16 percent and Heffner received 2,714 votes (19 percent).

Overla will take oath of office in January 2018. Overla was a former Troy High School principal and is now an administrator at the Miami Valley CTC.
