Drake joins criminal justice club

ASHLAND, Ohio — Dominique Drake of Troy, Ohio, is a member of the criminal justice club at Ashland University.

Drake is majoring in forensic chemistry. Drake is a 2016 graduate of Troy High School.

Henry new member of The Well

ASHLAND, Ohio — Tyler Henry of Covington, Ohio, is a member of The Well at Ashland University.

Henry is majoring in sports communications.

He is the son of Michelle Henry of Covington. Henry is a 2014 graduate of Covington High School.

The Well is a worship service held on the campus of Ashland University that meets every Thursday night on campus.

Swank participates in ‘Antigone’

FINDLAY — Katherine Swank of Troy recently participated in the University of Findlay’s theatre production of “Antigone.” Sophocles’ classic play by French playwright Jean Anouilh, “Antigone” is a Greek tragedy focusing on themes of honor, courage, loyalty and familial intrigue.

UF students participated as cast members and/or as members of the production crew. Swank served as a house manager/usher.

Edison students inducted to PTK

PIQUA — Fourteen new members were inducted to the Edison State Community College Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) during a ceremony on Wednesday, Nov. 8, at the Piqua campus. Each semester, students are invited to join the honor society based upon academic criteria.

New inductees include: Brock Barga, Alexis Bylczynski, Michael Dilworth, Tyler Fickert, Phillip Green, Erica Hicks, Miraya Hinten, Sarah Hubbard, Christy Hughes, Isatou Kassama, Audrey McWhorter, Julia Mellott, Kayley Ruschau, Jessica Stayton, and Brandon Ward.
