MIAMI COUNTY — On Tuesday, the Miami County Commissioners approved several agreements, including one with Bethel Local Schools.
The commissioners authorized a sewer easement with Bethel Local Schools that will bring the school into the county’s sewer system. The county will construct and maintain a force main sewer line that will connect the schools to the county’s sewers.
This sewer agreement is concurrent with the construction of a new school addition, County Engineer Paul Huelskamp said.
The commissioners signed an agreement with Miami & Erie Contractors for the Kyle Park handicapped walkway project in the amount of $93,700. This project will construct a paved walkway connecting the baseball diamonds and the parking area in Tipp City’s Kyle Park.
The commissioners also approved the purchase of 60 Chromebook laptops for West Central Juvenile Rehabilitation Facility at a cost of $12,229. This purchase will allow the facility to keep the youths in their educational program up to date with the school system’s programs.
The commissioners signed a grant agreement withe the Ohio Children’s Trust Fund for an amount of $33,048. This grant will be used to provide Triple P, a parenting education and guidance program available through various community agencies.
