FLETCHER — Firefighters from multiple departments fought a structure fire for several hours Thursday at 5355 E. Snyder Road in Brown Township.

Emergency personnel were dispatched to the scene just before 11:30 a.m. First-arriving units called in a fully involved fire and requested mutual aide from multiple departments.

In addition to Fletcher, Johnson-St. Paris, Casstown and Lockington fire departments were called for assistance.

The fire was knocked down but not before the structure was destroyed. High winds caused the fire to spread quickly.

The State Fire Marshal was called to investigate the blaze, which remains under investigation.

The homeowner was able to escape the blaze safely, and no injuries were reported.
