Man barricades himself at Hilltop Drive apartment
TROY — Troy Police Department arrested Chazz Stewart, 27, of Troy, for fourth degree felony domestic violence and disrupting public servicing in the early morning hours on Friday.
Stewart was arraigned on the charges in Miami County Municipal Court on Friday. His bond was set for $20,000.
According to reports, Stewart barricaded the front door of his residence at 1243 Hilltop Drive Apt. 13, Troy, around 12:43 a.m. Friday morning following an alleged domestic incident with his girlfriend. Officials were advised Stewart had several guns and ammunition inside the apartment.
Officials used a public address system to communicate with Stewart who eventually surrendered in the back of the apartment without further incident at 2:17 a.m.
Stewart is set to appear for a preliminary hearing on Nov. 19 with Judge Gary Nasal presiding. Stewart remains incarcerated at the Miami County Jail.
Woman allegedly steals money from hotel guests
TROY — Troy Police Department charged Shannon Wood, 39, of Troy, with seven counts of second degree felony burglary and one count of third degree burglary for theft of money and items from the Comfort Suites hotel rooms where she was employed.
Wood was arraigned on the charges on Thursday. Her bond was set for $100,000 on all counts.
According to reports, Wood admited to entering both occupied and unoccupied rooms before fleeing the hotel. She allegedly stole $6 cash from one room and a wallet with $1,200 cash from another room.
Wood remains incarcerated at the Miami County Jail.
Covington man charged with alleged intimidation of a witness
COVINGTON — Covington Police Department arrested Michael Krenciprock, 42, of Covington on Nov. 11 on one count of third degree felony intimidation of a witness.
Krenciprock was arraigned on the charge in Miami County Municipal Court on Thursday. His bond was set for $25,000.
According to reports, Kreciprock allegedly threatened a witness to change her story about a domestic incident that sparked a standoff with law enforcement on Feb. 28, 2015. In that case, Kreciprock was indicted on one court of fourth degree felony resisting arrest. Kreciprock’s final pretrial is set for Dec. 14 and a trial date of Dec. 29-30 in Miami County Common Pleas Court.
According to reports, the witness said Kreciprock allegedly threatened her and stated “she would never see her kids again” if she didn’t lie on his behalf during an upcoming trial
Krenciprock is set to appear for a preliminary hearing on Nov. 19 with Judge Gary Nasal presiding. Krenciprock remains incarcerated at the Miami County Jail.
