Troy grad awarded study abroad scholarship
Courtney Caldwell, a 2013 graduate of Troy High School, will be honored on Wednesday, March 30, by The Ohio State University Office of International Affairs at the 17th annual Wolfe Study Abroad Recognition Luncheon.
Caldwell, a junior at Ohio State, is one of 24 student recipients of a $2,500 scholarship. A psychology major, she will use her scholarship to study in Ecuador.
“The career path I am pursuing is about understanding and working with diversity, and eliminating that difference to create successful organizations. Studying abroad allows me to combine my love of people, stories, culture and leadership to have the ultimate learning experience that I will carry with me for my lifetime,” said Caldwell.
To be eligible for the scholarship, students must: be a full-time student of sophomore, junior, or senior rank; have a minimum overall GPA of 3.00; be an Ohio resident who has graduated from an Ohio high school; be admitted to an Ohio State approved spring, summer or semester-long study abroad program.
Scholarship recipients will be congratulated at the luncheon by The Ohio State University President Michael V. Drake, MD.
