MIAMI COUNTY — The Miami County Commissioners approved several contracts at their meeting Thursday.
The commissioners authorized the restoration of the Miami County Transfer Station tipping floor and accepted a quote for the project from Bruns General Contracting. The tipping floor is where garbage trucks “tip-out” collected refuse at the transfer station.
The cost of this project is not to exceed $45,000.
The commissioners also approved a contract for inmate food services on behalf of the Miami County Sheriff’s Office. The county will contract with Trinity Services Group out of Oldsmar, Fla., effective March 28, 2016, through April 27, 2019.
The board also signed a memorandum of understanding with the village of Potsdam concerning a Community Development Block Grant from the county. The grant awards the village $262,000 for the Potsdam flood and drainage facilities project.
The commissioners also authorized an independent contractor agreement with architect J. Michael Asebrook for consulting services. Asebrook will perform backup plans examining services for the Department of Development on an as needed basis at a cost of $75 per hour, not to exceed $25,000.
