TROY — Roy Lee Willoughby of Troy will celebrate his 90th birthday on July 23.
Willoughby was born July 23, 1924, in Henagar, Ala., to William and Mattie Willoughby.
He was married for 55 years to the late Eleanor Faye Willoughby.
He has two sons and a daughter-in-law, Roger Willoughby of Alabama and Robert and Mary Willoughby of North Carolina; and three daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Donald Payne of Alabama, Wanda and Glenn Wells of Alabama and Cynthia “Cid” and Monte Godfrey of Covington; and one daughter, Kathy Willoughby, deceased. He has 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
He is a member of the Crossroads Church of God in Piqua.
He retired from Dinner Bell Foods. He had his own hauling business and worked at it until he fell and broke his arm at age 85.
He enjoys working in his yard, riding around the neighborhood, chatting with neighbors and going to church.
An open house will be from 3-6 p.m. Sunday at his home, 1305 Keller Drive, Troy.
