TROY — A suspicious package with a note indicating a bomb in the Clopay manufacturing plant in the 1400 block of West Market St., Troy, sent Troy Police Department calling for assistance from the Dayton Bomb Squad late Thursday night.
All employees were immediately evacuated from the building. At 11 p.m., bomb sniffing dogs arrived from the Dayton Airport to assist in the investigation.
According Troy Police Department Capt. Joe Long, a note was found on a suspicious package in the Clopay building. The note contained language indicating there was a bomb in the building.
No bomb was found after a search was conducted.
Several attempts to contact a Clopay spokesperson on Friday were unsuccessful.
