Memorial bike ride set

TROY — J&D Bicycles will host a Ride of Silence bicycle ride at 6 p.m. tonight, Wednesday, May 18.

The Ride of Silence is a yearly international bicycle ride to commemorate cyclists killed or injured while riding on public roads. It helps to raise awareness among motorists of the dangers they pose to cyclists.

The short ride will begin and end at the shop at 500 N. Elm Street in Troy.

ReStore to relocate

TROY — The Habitat ReStore is relocating to a 18,000 sq. ft. facility at 1490 W. Main St., Troy, formerly Super Pets in the Trojan Village Shopping Center.

Relocating the Habitat ReStore to a larger, more visible and accessible location will generate more proceeds, allowing the organization to serve more families in need of affordable housing.

The ReStore is a major revenue source for Habitat for Humanity of Miami and Shelby Counties. It is an outlet store that sells new and gently used donated home improvement goods which are then sold to the public for 50-85 percent less than retail value.

Volunteers are needed to help in the transition from the current location. Interested groups or individuals should contact Habitat at (937) 332-3763.

The current ReStore at 150 E. Race St., Troy, will close Friday, May 27, 2016.
