TROY — Beginning Monday, Nov. 9, all Web/fingerprint/background checks will be completed at the Incarceration Facility, 2042 N. County Road 25-A, Troy, instead of the main Miami County Sheriff’s Office in the Safety Building.
More and more occupations are requiring candidates be fingerprinted prior to employment. The MCSO averages five to seven Web/fingerprint checks per day. Due to the limited and congested parking conditions around the Safety Building, Sheriff Charles Cox has opted to move all Web/fingerprint checks to the Incarceration Facility, which is centrally located in the county and has ample parking.
“This will serve the public much more quickly and efficiently. Since moving the CCW registration to the Incarceration Facility over a year ago, the sheriff’s office has heard nothing but positive comments from the public with respect to adequate parking and being able to get in and out quickly,” according to Deputy Chief Dave Duchak.
