Tickets available for cabaret

PIQUA — The Piqua Library Friends will welcome the Lima Symphony Orchestra at 7 p.m. Dec. 13 in the fourth floor ballroom of the Fort Piqua Plaza.

This annual event is the primary fundraiser for the Friends group.

Tickets are $30 and are available at the Hallmark store on Main Street, Piqua.

Winter storytime set at Pleasant Hill Library

PLEASANT HILL — Join in the fun with Miss Andrea at 1 p.m. on Wednesdays, Jan. 6 through March 23 at the Oakes-Beitman Memorial Library in Pleasant Hill.

Bring your child and enjoy a variety of stories, songs, fingerplays, crafts, and more for children ages birth to 5 years old. Registration is requested.

Thompson joins Mutual Federal

TROY — Mutual Federal Savings Bank has welcomed Doug Thompson as vice president for Commercial Banking.

Thompson will be located in the Troy office of Mutual Federal Savings Bank. He brings extensive experience in providing commercial and business solutions and relationships to bank customers and prospects.

Winter sessions to begin

MIAMI COUNTY — The Miami County YMCA will be taking registrations for winter session classes beginning Dec. 14 for members and Dec. 17 for nonmembers.

Classes will begin Monday, Jan. 4, and last for seven weeks. This session includes many recreation and fitness options such as swim lessons, group exercise, gymnastics, youth sports and much more.

The Y will be taking online registrations at its website To do so, a participant must first register his or her email at the main desk. They can then go online, log in and register for their chosen classes. Registrations will also still be accepted at the desks and over the phone.

Soccer registration under way

TROY — Indoor soccer registration for Pre-K through second grade at the Troy Rec is now open. Registration dates and times are through today from 4-7 p.m.; Dec. 14-17 from 4-7 p.m.; and Dec. 18 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The cost is $35 and payment is due at the time of registration. Only 60 slots available for each session so register early.

First and second grade session begins in January, Pre-K and kindergarten session begins in March. Call The Troy Rec if you have any questions at 339-1923.
