MONROE TOWNSHIP - At its Feb. 3 board meeting, Monroe Township Trustees entered into a 2014 agreement with the Miami Valley Fire/EMS Alliance that is the coordinating authority for the Dayton Regional Hazardous Materials Response Team (HAZMAT). Based on the population according to a 2010 census, this service agreement with the Alliance will once again remain the same cost of $1,320.96 as in past years, and is in coordination with the Tipp City Fire Department.
The trustees also passed a resolution at their Monday night meeting that authorizes the township to participate in the 2014 State of Ohio cooperative purchasing program and gave approval for Special Projects Administrator Mary Lou Wilson to attend a stormwater seminar on March 18 at the Upper Valley JVS in Piqua.
Bills paid at the township trustees meeting totaled $63,294.99. The board also accepted the latest financial status reports for January 2014 and the bank reconciliation reports for Dec. 31, 2013, as presented by Township Fiscal Officer John Skolnicki.
The next meeting for the trustees will be moved to Tuesday, Feb. 18 at 7 p.m. due to the third Monday in February being President’s Day. All township offices will be closed on Feb. 17 in observance of President’s Day as a federal holiday.
