Information provided by the Troy Police Department:

May 11

MENACING: A Troy Police Department officer charged a Springfield juvenile with aggravating menacing. The male juvenile allegedly called a student’s cell phones during class. The teacher answered the phone and the male juvenile pretending to be the father of the female student. The teacher advised the student was in class and he would call the phone number of the student on file to check their identity. The male juvenile then threatened to shoot the teacher. The teacher told the juvenile he was contacting police, hung up the phone and made the report. The officer contacted the male juvenile’s mother in Springfield who advised to press charges against her son.

ACCIDENT: An officer was dispatched to a traffic crash at N Market St. and Ferguson Drive. A report was done and citation issued.

THEFT: On this date, Ptl. Ross requested another unit to interview the subjects of alleged theft at Wal-Mart separately. Ptl. Ross later took William Garnett into custody for theft. Also with William was his girlfriend, Michelle Wright. They had both selected the items and placed them in the cart. They had paid for some items with food stamps but both admitted to taking the items on the lower rack of the cart.The officer took digital photographs of the items they attempted to take. Those photos were later transferred to this report. The officer typed a charge on Michelle for theft and sent it to Municipal Court for further action.

COCAINE: The suspect vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation. The driver was found to be DUS. An inventory search of the vehicle was conducted and a personal amount of cocaine was located. The suspect was incarcerated in the MCSO.

May 12

WARRANT: A traffic stop was initiated and the driver, Sierra L. Dean, was arrested for driving under a OVI suspension, resisting arrest, and possession of marijuana. Sierra was also arrested on a felony warrant out of Marion County. Sierra was placed in the Miami County Jail.
