Troy Police Department reports


Information provided by the Troy Police Department:

Feb. 27

JAIL TRANSPORT: Officers transported James Hobart to the Miami County Jail from the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.

SCHOOL INCIDENT: Troy Junior High School administration reported a student stole a cell phone from another student.

WARRANT: Rebecca Nicholson was located and arrested for a felony warrant out of Vinton County.

Feb. 28

OPEN CONTAINER: An officer made a traffic stop on S. Ridge Avenue and a subject was cited for open container and drug possession.

March 1

CRIMINAL DAMAGE: A resident in the 2000 block of Patterson Lane reported someone poured sugar in her gas tank.

March 2

WARRANT: Officers arrested James Lawrence for parole violations for breaking and entering and non support. Lawrence was incarcerated without incident.

POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA: Officers were dispatched to the 900 block of Amelia Avenue for a theft of prescription. The officer spoke with a Jason Freese, who did not want to pursue any charges. While at the home, a glass smoking pipe was collected and Freese was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

WARRANT: A female subject was arrested on a warrant in the 400 block of Lake Street.

STUDENT HIDES DRUGS: An officer investigated a report of a student with marijuana. The female student’s locker and backpack was searched earlier in the day. The student had hid the small baggy of marijuana in a highlighter in her boot. The student’s mother was contacted and she was charged with drug possession. The student was also suspended from school for 10 days.

March 3

BURGLARY: A resident in the 500 block of Ohio Avenue reported his garage was broken into and tool box was stolen.

TRACTOR ISSUE: An officer stopped a subject driving a tractor on the sidewalk on West Main Street. Larry Garber said he was going to grocery store. The tractor was towed from the scene and Garber was cited.

WARRANT: Officers arrested Kevin Conner for a felony warrant out of Montgomery County he was also charged with drug possession.

March 4

INTOX: Nicholas Young was charged with disorderly conduct and intoxication with in a school zone, possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.

THEFT: A resident in the Tamplin Drive area reported an Ipad was stolen from a vehicle overnight.

Another resident in the same area reported quarters missing from their vehicle.

March 5

OVERDOSE: Officers responded to 215 1/2 E. Canal Street in reference to a heroin overdose. The female was transported to UVMC after receiving four doses of Narcan. Drug abuse charges are pending.

UNDERAGE: Two 19 year-old males were summoned for underage consumption of alcohol. No address listed.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Officers cited Harvey Baker for driving without a license. Officers noted Baker has nine open failure to re-instate violations.

POSSESSION: An officer responded to a possible disturbance and incarcerated one male on a warrant, possession of heroin and drug abuse instruments. No address was listed.
