TROY — Miami County Sheriff’s Office detectives, Troy Police detectives and U.S. Postal Inspectors on Thursday made two controlled deliveries of packages to two separate Troy residences.
The two packages had previously been intercepted by postal inspectors and found to contain several pounds of marijuana, according to reports. After delivery of the packages to the two residences, apprehensions were made of the three subjects, the report states.
Arrested were Michael S. Adkins, 29, of Troy; Zachary S. Housley, 21, of Troy; and Natalie M. Keppel, 23, also of Troy.
All three have been charged with Felony 3 charge of possession of marijuana and are incarcerated in the Miami County Jail.
Further information that developed during the investigation allowed detectives to apply for and obtain a search warrant for a third residence located at 1956 E. State Route 41, Troy, where two of the suspects reside. Located inside a safe in the residence were several pounds of marijuana, a large amount of hashish, LSD, firearms and a substantial amount of cash estimated at more than $50,000.
The currency was contained within shrink wrap and will be counted in its entirety when fingerprint processing is completed on the packaging.
The investigation is on-going and additional charges will be forthcoming after analysis of all recovered evidence and consultation with the Miami County Prosecutor’s Office, according to the sheriff’s office.
