WEST MILTON — The Milton-Union Bulldogs began the season needing only to win one match against Tecumseh to wrap up a victory in the opener. They got a pair of them, defeating the Arrows 4-1 on Tuesday.

The Arrows (0-1) defaulted at third singles and second doubles, giving the Bulldogs wins at two of the five positions. Claire Fetters sealed the win at second singles with a 6-1, 6-3 victory over Karli Mulkey, and Lizzie Fetters and Ashley Wombold knocked off Libby Foland and Shantel Burnett-Wheeler at first doubles 6-1, 6-0 for the icing on the cake.

The Bulldogs’ lone loss came at first singles, where Brooke Falb was defeated by last year’s Central Buckeye Conference PLayer of the Year Taylor Culbertson 6-0, 6-0.

Milton-Union (1-0) hosts Kenton Ridge today.
