TROY —A 15 year-old male Troy High School student was charged with possession of marijuana in class.
On Wednesday, the 15 year-old was pulled from class after acting suspicious and possibly possessing an electronic cigarette.
The student was questioned by Troy High School assistant principal Jeff Schultz and City of Troy Police Department School Resource Office Brandon Fellers. Schutlz stated he needed to search the student’s backpack. The student at first denied having marijuana but then told them where it was in his backpack.
Fellers observed a clear plastic Rexell pill bottle for allergy relief that had no pills inside but did contain what appeared to look like the greenish substance known as marijuana. The student would not share where he got the marijuana.
The sample of this greenish substance did test positive for THC. Fellers advised the student’s mother that he was
being charged with possession of marijuana and he would be notified by the Miami County Juvenile court for possession of
