LIMA — Luke Dillahunt rushed for five touchdowns and more than 200 yards as Troy Christian opened the season with a 42-32 win over Perry Friday.
“It was a slugfest-type of game,” Troy Christian coach Steve Nolan said. “They would score, then we would score, then they would score and then we would score. It just kept going back and forth like that all night long. They had 44 kids and we had 23 kids, but we just hung in there. The kids played hard.
“They had a really good quarterback. He threw for something like 300 yards and probably rushed for 150. I would think they would win six or seven games this season.”
With the win, Troy Christian improved to 1-0, while Perry fell to 0-1. Troy Christian hosts Miami Valley Christian Academy in Week 2.
