SCC to host nativity walks

COVINGTON — The 22nd annual “Live Nativity Walk” at Stillwater Community Church, will take place on Dec. 1 and 2. The walks begin at 6 p.m. and the last walk begins at 8:30 p.m. with walks every half hour. Admission is free.

The walk takes visitors back in time and tells the story of the birth of the Savior. After the walk stay warm by the fire and enjoy some hot chocolate, cookies and fellowship.

SCC is located off State Route 48 between Covington and Pleasant Hill. Turn west off 48 onto Sugar Grove Road. For more information, call (937) 473-5270.

Monthly community meal set

TROY — First United Church of Christ in Troy will offer its monthly Share A Meal from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, at 120 S. Market St., Troy.

Volunteers will be serving ham, scalloped potatoes, green beans, cornbread, cookies, fruit and beverages. Carry-outs will be available at 12:30 p.m., as quantities last. This program is free to anyone wishing to participate and are in need of a warm nourishing meal. Use the Canal Street entrance where the church is handicapped accessible.

Tipp City UMC to host bazaar

TIPP CITY — Tipp City United Methodist Church will host its second-annual Christmas Bazaar to benefit Angel House Children’s Home and Secondary School in Tanzania, Africa, on Dec. 2.

Talented artisans will offer a wide variety of handcrafted gift items. Joe’s Diner will provide an a la carte menu of soups and sandwiches and Oakstone Oven Co. will sell wood-fired pizza by the slice.

The Christmas Bazaar will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Dec. 2, at Tipp City United Methodist Church, 8 W. Main Street, in conjunction with the church’s annual Cookie Walk. Cookies are sold by the pound from 9-11 a.m.

Christmas cookie sale set

TROY — Are you way too busy this time of the year? We can help! Let us do your baking! Colorful home-made holiday cookies and candy will be sold by the pound at the Christmas Cookie Shoppe, Saturday, Dec. 2, from 9 a.m. to noon at the First Place Christian Center, 16 W. Franklin. Choir members sought

NASHVILLE — Nashville United Church of Christ, 4540 W. State Route 571, West Milton, invites all interested community members to join their choir for this year’s Christmas Cantata, “Heaven on Earth.”

VANDALIA — The Vandalia Baptist Temple Choir will present “Shepherds and Kings,” a family-friendly Christmas musical at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 17. The show will be held in the auditorium of the Vandalia Baptist Temple, 724 Helke Road, Vandalia. All are welcome.
