Church to host pancake breakfast
PLEASANT HILL — Pleasant Hill United Church of Christ invites the community to a complementary all you can eat pancake breakfast on Saturday, Dec. 5 from 8-11 a.m. in the church basement
Donations of cash or food will be accepted for the benefit of The Newton Food Pantry and the Christmas basket program.

Blue Christmas service offered
TROY — First Presbyterian Church will offer a Blue Christmas service on Dec. 16 in the chapel.
Grief and despair, loneliness and sadness can find comfort, support, and rest in this special worship.
The service will begin at 7 p.m. The church is located at 20 S. Walnut Street. The service is open to the community.
Christmas church tour set
PLEASANT HILL — The Pleasant Hill Community Church Christmas Walk, sponsored by the Pleasant Hill Ministerium, will be Thursday, Dec. 10.
Schedule for the evening is: Brethren in Christ at 6:30, Church of the Brethren at 6:50, Church of God at 7:10, First Brethren Church at 7:30, United Church of Christ at 7:50 p.m.
The evening concludes with time for fellowship. Enjoy light refreshments and singing of carols at the United Church of Christ at 8:10 p.m.
Free Christmas celebration in Pleasant Hill
PLEASANT HILL — The community is invited to join in celebrating the birth of Jesus on Saturday, Dec. 12, from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. in Pleasant Hill at 105 S. Main Street, located one block south of the monument on the east side just past Hill St.. Children can pet the animals.
Enjoy fellowship by the fire and refreshments with the villagers. There will be hot chocolate, hot cider and cookies. Fun for the whole family.
This event is free and everyone is welcome.

Seniors invited to Christmas party
WEST MILTON — All senior citizens in Union Township are invited to be our guests at our “Very Merry Christmas Party” Tuesday, Dec. 15 from 2-4 p.m. The Senior Ministry at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1209 South Miami Street, West Milton, OH, will host the event.
The Milton-Union Center Stage Show Choir will be the featured entertainment. Food, games, carol singing and fellowship will complete the afternoon.

FLETCHER — Fletcher United Methodist Church will host their monthly community free meal on Tuesday, Dec. 15, from 5-7- p.m.

Church to present concert
WEST MILTON — Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, West Milton, Ohio will present their annual “The Sounds of Christmas” concert Friday, Dec. 18 at 7:30 p.m.
Directed by Marsha Fischbach, this year’s concert will feature the quartet “Salem”. The quartet, composed of four members from the Salem Church of God in Clayton, Ohio, is a gospel group based in southwest Ohio.
Rounding out the evening’s program are the Good Shepherd Christmas Choir, the Shepherd’s Bells, Louise Adams on violin, Paula Barker on flute, and Betty Lou Johansen on piano.

Tasker featured singer at celebration
TROY — On Sunday, Dec. 20, Troy Gospel Tabernacle will be hosting their Christmas Celebration Concert with featured vocalist Songbird Betty Tasker.
Betty Tasker is a wife, mother, and grandmother who has been singing all her life. She is a committed Christian who comes from a family of ministers. She currently resides in Troy.
The church is located at 336 Ellis St. Troy. The service begins at 10:30 am. All are welcome.
Epiphany Fair to be held
TROY — The Troy First United Methodist Church at 110 W. Franklin Street is holding an Epiphany Fair and drama on Sunday, Jan. 10, from 6-9 p.m. in the main church.
Epiphany is celebrated around the world as the time when the three Kings arrived from the east to worship the Christ Child. The fair will feature traditional Epiphany crafts and food from numerous countries, including the United States.
The play “It Started with a Star” will be presented in the sanctuary at 7:30 p.m.
