LIMA — The Tippecanoe girls golf team won the “turquoise” division of Lima Central Catholic Invitational Saturday at Lost Creek Golfers Club in Lima, shooting a 379 to edge out runner-up Centerville’s 388.
Taylor Hudson led the Red Devils and was the individual runner-up on the day with an 84. Marissa Miller shot 92, tied for eighth individually, Mandi Kreinbrink shot 99, Lydia Stueve shot 104, Addi Richardson shot 113 and Jessica Goodson shot 144.
Tippecanoe travels to Greenville Thursday.

BRANDT — The Bethel boys soccer team remained undefeated after a hard-fought win on Saturday night, holding off Tree of Life 2-0 at home.
Nick Schmidt scored the game’s first goal with an assist from Tyler Brueckman to give Bethel (3-0-1) the lead, then Brueckman tallied a goal himself on an assist from Korry Hamlin to give the Bees some insurance. Goalkeeper Alex van Haaren only needed to make two saves to preserve his third shutout of the year.
“We started the match very focused and played some very good soccer,” Bethel coach Bob Hamlin said. “We moved the ball side to side very well, but we just could not finish our chances. We settled into a good match, only allowing four shots.”

TIPP CITY — Lauren Lester had four goals Saturday night, leading the Tippecanoe girls soccer team to an 8-0 victory over Stebbins at Tipp City Park in Greater Western Ohio Conference American League crossover play.
Lauren Weimer added two goals and Hannah Rittenhouse had a goal and an assist for the Red Devils, who remain unbeaten and at the top of the GWOC American North Division standings at 3-0, 4-1 overall. Makayla Stallard had a goal, and Claire Hinkle added an assist.
Tippecanoe travels to Trotwood Wednesday.
