FORT LORAMIE — With wins over talented Fairmont and Miami East teams already this season, the Tippecanoe girls basketball team’s non-league schedule is built to challenge.
Monday, the Red Devils passed another tough early test.
Tippecanoe built an early lead and never looked back Monday at Fort Loramie, defeating the perennial Division IV powerhouse Redskins (4-2) 59-41 to remain undefeated on the young season.
Allison Mader scored 16 of her game-high 23 points in the first half as the Devils (5-0) jumped out to a 15-8 lead after on quarter and built a 30-18 lead at the break. Maddie Frederick, meanwhile, added 18 of her 22 points in the second half, helping Tippecanoe grow its advantage to a comfortable 45-27 heading into the fourth quarter.
Tippecanoe travels to Greenville Wednesday and Troy Saturday to begin a string of three straight Greater Western Ohio Conference American North Division matchups.

TROY — The Tippecanoe bowling teams both dropped Greater Western Ohio Conference American League crossover matches Monday afternoon at Troy Bowl, with the boys falling to visiting Xenia 2,237-2,165 and the girls losing 1,878-1,629.
For the Red Devils boys (2-1, 0-1 GWOC American North Division), James Ridgeway led the way with 240-247—488, Nick Lanham rolled 191-218—409, Austin Post rolled 154-167—321, Aaron Davis rolled 136-158—294, Dalton Grimmett added a 155 game and Devin Elwood added a 107.
For the Tippecanoe girls (1-1, 0-1 GWOC American North), Abigail Lee led the way with 161-168—329, Abby Hornbeck rolled 157-145—203, Ashlyn Herzog rolled 145-145—290, Emma Lara rolled 113-107—220 and McKenzie Dean rolled 91-118—209.
Tippecanoe, which traveled to Stebbins Tuesday, hosts West Carrollton Wednesday.
