Located
in Downtown Piqua, the Piqua Historical museum has
a vast collection of Piqua artifacts and
memorabilia. One of the main focuses on the first
floor are products from current and long-gone
Piqua-based industries. These include Hartzel
aircraft propellers, Favorite brand stoves, various
brands of underwear, vinyl record producers, and
several different brewers -- among
others.
|
Also, on the first floor are displays dedicated
to Piqua citizens' participation in American
wars, with emphasis on the War of 1812, W.W.I
and W.W.II.
|
|
Upstairs
are artworks of the Piqua area, as well as diverse
works by area artists. There are also works of art
representing African-Americans in Piqua as well as
old posters, and a complete set of vintage medical
and gynecological instruments.
