Anthony Weber | Troy Daily News Newton High School recently announced its 2017-2018 Homecoming court. The court includes from left: Treg Jackson, Rachel Kirk, Cole Weaver, Layla Robbins, Nash Lavy, Macy Flanary, Athan Matthews, Kacie Tackett, Tristen Benedict and Tatum McBride. A parade will begin the Homecoming festivities in front of the school at around 6 p.m. Friday and will continue to the soccer stadium Friday evening in Pleasant Hill. A crowning for Homecoming king and queen will take place prior to the varsity soccer game against Legacy Christian. The theme for the Homecoming parade and dance is “Decades.” The dance is scheduled from 8-10:30 p.m. Saturday in the school cafeteria.
