• VETERANS TRIBUTE: StoryPoint Troy, 1840 Towne Park Drive, will dedicate a designated room to honor veterans from 1-3 p.m. Guest speaker is Troy Mayor Mike Beamish, plus there will be a performance by the VFW Color Guard and ribbon-cutting by the Troy Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors. • CHILI: The Troy Fish & Game will offer chili with grilled cheese beginning at 6 p.m.

• BINGO: The A.B. Graham Memorial Center, 8025 E. U.S. Route 36, Conover, will host a bingo night beginning at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m. There will be 20 games for 25 cents a board or $1 for 50/50 cash games. Concessions will be available.

• EMPLOYMENT WORKSHOP: Get help from Goodwill Easter Seals finding a job, building a resume, and practicing interview skills. This workshop is available to anyone seeking employment. The workshop will be from 2-3 p.m. at the Milton-Union Public Library.

• BINGO: The Piqua YMCA’s Senior Center will offer bingo at 10 a.m. A Taste of Elegance will be offered by Brookdale from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

• SOUPER WALK: The Miami County Park District will hold its Souper Walk program from 7-9 p.m. at Charleston Falls Preserve, 2535 Ross Road, south of Tipp City. Enjoy a guided, nighttime hike through the woods followed by a warm crackling fire and hot cup of homemade soup. Hikers are encouraged to bring a can of soup for donation to a local food pantry. Stay warm – remember to layer up before you head out. Pre-registration requested. • JOHNNY MARZETTI: American Legion Post 586 in Tipp City will offer Johnny Marzetti, garlic bread, salad and dessert for $8. Serving starts at 6 p.m. Trivia will follow.

• CRAFT SHOW: Hoffman United Methodist Church, 201 S. Main St., West Milton, will hold its annual Craft Show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the church activity center. There are still a few booth spaces available. To reserve a space or for more information, call Jean Sanders at 937-698-5541.

• GIFT AND ART SALES: The Hayner House Gift Gallery in Troy will be filled with artists and vendors, each selling their own special and unique products from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Like the center on Facebook for an up-to-date listing of artists and vendors participating this year. Admission is free.

• WILD ART FOR KIDS: Brukner Nature Center has introduced an art event fundraiser just for kids from 10 a.m. to noon. Join Lisa Bauer of the Mayflower Arts Center and BNC naturalist to create a 12-inch-by-12-inch masterpiece of an owl, inspired by the center’s wildlife ambassadors. This opportunity is $25 per child, kindergarten through eighth grade, and will include a visit from one of the wildlife ambassadors, all painting materials, and refreshments. Deadline for registration is Friday, Nov. 17 (cash or check only). All proceeds benefit the Brukner Nature Center Wildlife Ambassador program.

• FISH FRY: The Troy Fish & Game will offer a fish fry beginning at 6 p.m. Trivia will follow at 7:30 p.m.

• PORK CHOPS: The Pleasant Hill VFW Post 6557, 7578 W. Fenner Road, Ludlow Falls, will offer a marinated pork chop (non-marinated pork chops available upon request) dinner with baked potato and vegetable for $9 from 5-7 p.m.

• LEGO: Build with LEGO at the Milton-Union Public Library from 2-3 p.m. Each meeting will have a theme as well as free style building. All ages are welcome.

• UKULELE: Ages 12 and up are invited to have fun learning to play basic chords on the ukulele from 3:30-4:30 p.m. at the Milton-Union Public Library.

• HEALTHY COOKING: The Miami County Park District will hold the Healthy Cooking program from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Lost Creek Reserve, 2385 E. State Route 41, east of Troy. Come out and join this beginners level cooking class which focuses on simple healthy recipes with ingredients grown locally or on the farm. Eating healthy on a budget will be discussed. Food preparation and sampling will occur. Class fee $5 per class or $10 for the series. Space is limited. Pre-registration is required. • PLAY DATE: The Miami County Park District will hold its Nature Play Date program from 2-3 p.m. at Stillwater Prairie Reserve, 9750 State Route 185 in Covington. • PRESCHOOL IN PARK: The Miami County Park District will hold its Preschool in the Park “Calling All Turkeys” program from 11 a.m. to noon at Lost Creek Reserve, 2385 E. State Route 41, east of Troy. Join park district naturalist Gecko Jody and learn about turkeys. There will be story time and a short tot sized hike. There is a $3 class fee due at the time of registration. Class size limited to 12, class minimum is four. Must be registered to attend. • CRAFT SHOW: Hoffman United Methodist Church will hold its annual craft show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the church activity center, 201 S. Main St., West Milton. The event will feature 20-plus booths offering a wide variety of items including jewelry, wood crafted items, candles, baked goods and more. The Methodist Women will also offer their homemade, ready-to-cook pot pie by the bag. The Hoffman Cafe’ will provide coffee and doughnuts, pop, sandwiches, homemade chicken corn soup, vegetable soup, and a variety of pies. For more information or details, call Jean at 698-5541.

• RED & WHITE: Newton will have its Red & White Night to kick off the winter sports season from 5-7 p.m. in the high school gym. A catered dinner will be offered.

• KARAOKE: Come in and share your singing talents at the Tipp City American Legion Post 586. Karaoke starts at 7 p.m.

• BAZAAR: The Christiansburg holiday bazaar will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Christiansburg Fire Department, 10 W. First St., Christiansburg. The bazaar will feature handcrafted gifts, jewelry, sweets, decorations, soaps, etc., which are made by local crafters.

Sunday

• VIEW FROM THE VISTA: Come join members of the BNC Bird Club from 2-4 p.m. as you learn to identify Brukner Nature Center’s birdlife. Come enjoy the camaraderie in the center’s third story “window on wildlife.” All levels of birders welcome, and good binoculars available for use.

• DOG SOCIAL: The Miami County Park District will hold its dog social “Bark in the Park” from 1-3 p.m. at Stillwater Prairie Reserve, 9750 State Route 185, north of Covington. If your dog is nice and plays well with others, bring them to the park to take part in the “Bark in the Park” program. Remember owners are responsible for their dogs – please clean up after your pet. • QUILT DISPLAY: The Pleasant Hill History Center, 8 W. Monument St., Pleasant Hill, will feature quilts during the month of November. The center is open every Monday from 3-7 p.m. A variety of new and vintage quilts are on display. For more information, visit PleasantHillHG@yahoo.com.

• CRAFTY LISTENERS: Crafty Listeners is an adult audio book club. Everyone works on individual craft projects and listens to a book. Feel free to bring lunch or snacks. The club meets every Monday at 1 p.m. at the Milton-Union Public Library.

• EAT FOR CHANGE: FOA, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing support and encouraging advocacy for anyone touched by addiction, will have a fundraiser at Chipotle in Troy beginning at 6 p.m. A portion of the proceeds from those who attend and bring a flier, which is available on the organization’s Facebook page, will be donated to Joshua Recovery Ministries for recovery help in Troy.

• MOMS & TOTS: The Miami County Park District will hold its Trailing Moms & Tots program from 10 a.m. to noon at Charleston Falls Preserve, 2535 Ross Road, south of Tipp City. This program is for expectant mothers, mothers and tots from newborn to 5. Participants can socialize, play and exercise during this walk. There may even be craft time. • JOKES: Join staff at the Troy-Miami County Public Library at 6:30 p.m. for Laughing at Stress. With the holidays comes stress for many people. Alisha Barton, program coordinator for Family and Consumer Sciences for the OSU Extension Office in Miami County, will be discussing using humor to deal with stress. • HAM AND CHEESE: A gourmet ham and toasted cheese sandwich will be served with tomato bisque soup at the Tipp City American Legion Post 586. Serving begins at 6 p.m. for $5.

• BOARD MEETING: The Milton-Union Public Library Board of Trustees will meet at 7 p.m. at the Milton-Union Public Library.

• TINY TOTS: Tiny Tots will be offered from 11-11:30 a.m. at the Milton-Union Public Library. Newborns to age 3 can enjoy singing songs and reading stories with a new theme each week.

• CRAFTS: The Tipp City Seniors members and guests will offer crafts and quilting at 9 a.m. at 320 S. First St., Tipp City.

• EUCHRE: A Euchre tournament will be offered beginning at 10 a.m. at the Piqua YMCA’s Senior Center. Blood pressure and blood glucose checks will be offered from 9-10 a.m., as well as exercise at 9:30 a.m.

• QUARTER AUCTION: The Tipp City American Legion Post 586 will host a quarter auction beginning at 7 p.m. Auction numbers will be available for purchase. Food will be offered from 5:30-8:30 p.m.

• TURKEY SUPPER: Fletcher United Methodist Church will host its annual turkey supper from 4:30-6:30 p.m. The meal includes turkey and dressing, mashed potatoes and sweet potatoes, green beans, coleslaw, applesauce, and an assortment of pies. Free will donations will be accepted with proceeds going to the Missions Project. Carry-out meals will be available.

Wednesday

• STORY TIME: Children ages 4-5 and parents are invited to come and enjoy stories, crafts, and a puppet show at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. at the Milton-Union Public Library.

• PILGRIM PEDAL: A Pilgrim Pedal Ride will be offered in Troy on Thanksgivinv morning at 8 am. It will start at Treasure Island and head north on the bike path. Those interested in riding the full ride will go to Piqua, around Linear Park Trail and back to Troy, which is approximately 20 miles. There is a good chance that there will be those who will ride a shorter distance.

Nov. 24

• HOMETOWN HOLIDAY: Troy’s annual Hometown Holiday event will be held in downtown Troy, with events beginning at 4 p.m. with the opening of the Kris Kringle Market. Carriage rides are to start at 5 p.m., the live radio broadcast is to start at 5:30 p.m., followed by activities, music, a poem read by the mayor, and the arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus, leading up to the tree lighting to be as close to 7 p.m. as possible.

• PIZZA: The Troy Fish & Game will offer pizza night beginning at 6 p.m.

• BINGO: The Piqua YMCA’s Senior Center will offer bingo at 10 a.m. A celebration of all November birthdays also will be held.

Nov. 25

• BEEF STEW: The Troy Fish & Game will offer beef stew dinner beginning at 6 p.m.

Nov. 26

• BREAKFAST: Breakfast will be offered beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the Troy Fish & Game.

• ROCK HOUNDS: The Miami County Park District will hold its Naturalist Adventure Series “Rock Hounds” from 1-4 p.m. at Charleston Falls Preserve, 2535 Ross Road, south of Tipp City. Drop by to learn all about rocks. Participants can learn to identify different types of rocks and how they were formed. A roving naturalist will be on-site to answer questions and facilitate activity. • DRAWING ROOM CHAMBER CONCERT: Western Ohio Tuba Quartet will bring in the holiday season at Troy-Hayner Cultural Center at 7:30 p.m. This unique instrumentation delivers a rich and resonant sound in a variety of musical styles, from arrangements of classical composers such as Gabrieli, Mozart, and Tchaikovsky, to modern American music, marches, and jazz. Admission is free.
