TROY — Marvin ‘Junior’ Francis will celebrate his 85th birthday on July 12 with family and will especially enjoy sharing this special day with his great grandson, Kip.
He was born July 12, 1933, to Marie and Marvin Francis in Troy, Ohio.
With his wife, Rita, he has three children, Mike of Casstown, Ann (Doug) of Bowling Green, Ohio, and Amy (Phil) of Tinnath, Colo.
Marvin is an accomplished carpenter and is well known for his outstanding work. There was never a job too big or too small for Marvin. He lent a helping hand to many over the years. One is never far from a home or business that doesn’t contain Marvin’s handiwork.
Marvin and Rita are lifetime members of Lostcreek Church of Christ and worship in a sanctuary that was renovated by Marvin with the help of others in their Church family.
Marvin and Rita have spent their entire adult life in the same home in Casstown. They, along with their son, Mike, will soon be moving to Bowling Green. Marvin is certain they are the longest living residents of Casstown.
