PIH to offer community picnic

TROY — On Thursday July 23, 2015 from 5:30-9:30 p.m. a community picnic will be hosted by Partners in Hope at the Troy City Park off of Adams Street across from Hobart.

This is the second of three events planned for 2015 in celebration of the organization’s 25th anniversary. The event is open to everyone and there is no charge to participate.

“We are excited to welcome old and new friends to celebrate with us, so please spread the word,” said Jessica Echols, executive director. “We have been in Troy for 25 years thanks to the many people who have served and who have been served by the programs offered through Partners in Hope. We are proud of our legacy of hope and look forward to many more years in the community.”

The community picnic will kick off with a welcome and blessing at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 6 p.m. Throughout the evening, guests will be invited to play games, listen to a live DJ, enjoy some local entertainment, and then beginning at 8 p.m. everyone is invited to pull up their lawn chairs and enjoy an outdoor family movie.

Call Partners in Hope at 335-0448 to RSVP for dinner.
